What to know when selling your Land Rover
Scope: This page covers Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport and older Series and Freelander models. Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Evoque are all handled on our separate Range Rover page.
Current Defender (L663): Launched 2020. Available in 90, 110 and 130 wheelbases with V8 and PHEV options at the top of the range.
Classic Defender (1948-2016): A separate market entirely. Bought subject to provenance, originality and condition.
Discovery: Discovery 5 launched in 2017 and remains in production. Discovery Sport sits below it as the smaller seven-seat option.
Service history: Full Land Rover main-dealer service history sits in the strongest position. Independent specialist history is widely accepted as the next-best.
Finance: If your Land Rover is on a PCP, share your settlement figure when you get your figure and we coordinate with the lender.

No fees: WeBuyAnyCar charges £49.99 to £124.99 depending on price band, taken straight off your payout (correct on their site, May 2026). We do not.
Locked in writing: Once you upload photos, the figure is locked for everything you have declared and photographed.
No surprise inspection: Nothing changes on collection day for items already covered at the figure stage.

Where: Victoria Retail Park, BL8 2EQ. Our Bury site adds £100 to your figure on the day.
Why we pay it: Pickup costs us in transport, driver time and fuel. When you save us that cost we hand it back.
Prefer collection: Your figure stands and you still get paid the day we collect. The £100 is optional, never a penalty.
Selling a Land Rover on finance
